Whether he claimed ownership or just tenancy he would have been entitled to some rights whether time or compensation, defeating that claim is what needs to happen to remove him and not remain open to another potential suit for circumventing the court system.

Many of those properties would be listed on MLS; just select multi-family properties on your search.Another idea in a similar vein is to look for single family homes that have either a mother-in-law suite or a garage apartment or carriage house.

As a quick analysis it passes the 1% rule meaning the monthly rent is at least 1% of the purchase price although 2% is ideal.
