I wont disagree but you may find that PMI is worth it to get into a specific deal potentially.

It's not THAT much more work than a traditional LTR and it's significantly more money, so we've found it to be worth it. 

On the other hand, I read somewhere that rules can't be added or changed if they would substantially modify the lease or the like.

DSCR loans are based off of down payment, credit score and either actual or market rents so it helps to supercharge an investor's real estate goals and net worth.

You literally CAN'T sell for at least 3-5 years because you wouldn't have enough to pay the fees associated with selling a conventional way, nor would it have been worth it for you to do so. 

If it went any higher the argument for renting would become even stronger.The opportunity cost of tying up all that cash, time & energy is almost never worth it.One of the only times it makes since to finance your primary residence is when you know you are buying a property substantially under market, and reselling it.

Does the rent make the investment worth it?

Yes, in Florida, I would get one, it's worth it to keep you safe.
