I would want to tie up the whole complex to have control for the look and feel of it.What are the other types of properties around these and what has the recent crime activity been with violent versus non-violent crimes.If most units have been remodeled WHY haven't they been able to turn it around??

Ebere,I must distinctly disagree with you as IRS rules and regulations state that all expenses in preparing the property for rental activity(defined as listing for rent or actually renting which ever comes first) are added to basis.He inherited the tenants when he filed for the deed of a home in which as he stated the intent was to flip.

However this weekend was not convincing enough to us.

I'm looking at listing it on the MLS and putting a sign out front when I have it fixed up this weekend (great timing with Christmas), but I was wondering if there are other websites or advertising that other people have had success with?

I am a active Duty Soldier stationed in Hawaii.

I have used a bump gun and picks both with great success, just got into a vacant property last weekend, with owners permission in writing, to check out the condition.

The place I looked at over the weekend had a darker tan colored walls with white trim in the foyer area and then the units were flipped with more white walls and the darker tan for trim.

Our idea of a good time on weekends is to go look at houses and critique floor plans, space use, etc.What I've found is that a good architect will, for a few thousand dollars, crank out a floor plan faster and better than I can and with much less strain and stress on my heart.
