How do I appease a very high-maintenance tenant?

And if she has dementia, it will get worse, and she could burn the place down when she puts something on the stove and then takes off to go shopping, etc.As far as the daughter - you don't have a contract with the daughter, you're not an assisted living facility, so it's not appropriate to deal with someone other than the tenant you are contracted with. What I'd do with her in the meantime, is tell her that you are changing the way you do maintenance for non-emergency matters.

First property! Washer and dryer?

In my past experience as a tenant, and in recently searching for a rental property, having laundry facilities available were of significant importance to me.With an apartment building I would accept laundry facilities somewhere on the property and not necessarily in the unit, but in a single-family home I ignored those that had only hook ups available. As a college student, traveling to the laundromat wasn't really a big deal, but as an adult I definitely prefer laundry inside the home. With laundry facilities inside the unit, I would fully expect to pay the water bill.

In addition, nicer campgrounds can be expensive and you won't always get the money you put into an RV or camper out of it when you go to sell.Unless your parents have facilities for dumping black and grey waste, and convenient, more or less permanent power hookups (at least 50 amps) you will likely end up at a campground paying some rent.
