Long story short I’m being sued by the plaintiff over lawyer refusing to credit the seller for taxes supposedly paid.

I have $175 invested in stocks in my taxable account and another 30-50K in cash coming out of my business at year end.

Short version is like everywhere prices are rising but there is real growth and there are still many opportunities.

The rule is a great rule of thumb, but I think its more analogous to a PE ratio in the stock market.If the market is moving up, and everyone knows its a growth market think Austin, or San Fran, the PE ratio for a growth stock will be high for a stock say a PE of 50, or the %rule will be really "low", say .5%. 

The economy is growing, companies are hiring, and the housing market is hot, with this suburban enclave spreading farther into the Mojave Desert.But the recovery has been uneven.Although the Las Vegas area is booming, the middle class is still getting squeezed.Steady growth across the country has lifted the stock market and corporate profits.

Long story short, they came back and disputed and made their own calculations, ultimately showing we owe them some of the deposit back.  

When you try to squeeze the rehab down in order to hit your goals, there will be someone who gets the short end of the stick.
