Lower expenses is great, because when the economy shifts, it doesn't effect your expenses.

It all depends on your goals, but you need to remember that your goals will probably shift over time.The best thing you could do is buy this first house like an investment property.

I'm diving into the current shifts in the real estate market and am particularly interested in the role and insights of active contractors and/or builders.
