Am I to infer that your buddy knows that the correct tax treatment is dealer disposition, but by saying that you "should be OK" taking a capital gains tax treatment, he/she is telling you that if you lie on your tax return, you will probably get away with it?

The problem with myhousedeals is that the members post inaccurate information, sometimes blatant lies.

I don't think turnkey providers or any providers have so much risk- the risk lies in how effectively an investor performs their own due diligence.

They will lie to you, and tell you nothing of value. 

Can someone please define where the legality lies?

My intent wasn’t to try and find out who was lying or being greedy with their numbers but to find out who really wanted the job.

Stoicism and its tenets are they foundations for great accomplishments and understanding that happiness lies inside of you.

They get a little comfortable, convince themselves this is “good”, tell themselves lies about why they can’t or shouldn’t keep advancing, etc.

Go with what you know...and if you know something better 1000 miles away great, although it is obvious many are just fooling themselves or simply lying to make a commission.
