I am new to the game and recently bought two duplexes in an area traditionally known for oil, which means it struggles at time, but with the work from home business models I have noticed a lot of people moving from the Salt Lake valley to this small oil town since they can still hold their job.

Of course, this goes against the guru and snake oil salesmen's rosy picture of how easy and passive it is that is sold by some here on BP and elsewhere and since the rosy picture is what the newbies want to hear, that is what they tend to listen to.

Christhat's awesomegreat jobin the area by the college they are getting anywhere from 560-625 a roomof course there are house rules that have to be followed and it looks like a very good contract to the rentersone guy that had a room rental house made enough money to purchase a property in the river area and is renting his house out at 360 a night as a abb, talk about a gig, that place is up the street from my place and it is full every night- give or take 1-3 nights a weekI live right on the river and that is what my wife and I plan to do with this one it will rent for about 425 a night plus they have direct access to the river for fishing and kayakingkeep it up and enjoy

Interior1st and 2nd Floor tenants have oil heat (they pay for heat themselves), 3rd floor is electric heat (tenant paid as well).
