I would not totally rule it out, but any investor should have some kind of self-imposed risk-management 'trading rules' in place -- meaning, you limit your exposure to those areas, and you don't invest too heavily there.

Perhaps your luxury leaning product may not be best served by a discount brokerage if the price reductions taken,thus far, are already in excess of what the commission payout would have been.Hopefully your property will soon be sold.Kindest regards,- March

You might want to look into syndications as a first step (investing in not starting) this way you come in at 50k or 100k and you limit your exposure but get to learn a tonJJ
