So were a bit nervous switching the game plan.

I currently own a primary SFH with plans of moving within the year.

No loans were involved, so I had no more cash at that time, and "the cart was still there" - that is, the house required a GIGANTIC investment (and they exceeded the planned).

I would first look at my personal lifestyle and see what I and the Misses could agree to on a 5yr plan for getting our personal spending as minimized, and budget regimented as possible, to create maximum net capital from our active working. 

Hello all, I am reading on the real estate investing process and i plan to buy my first property with an FHA loan, however, as i am no one with any experience on rehabbing i have this concern of pricing. 

For our planning clients we use software where you can link all of your accounts and manually enter too, and so it operates initially like Mint but goes way further with great analysis in all core areas, particularly taxes.  

I plan on HELOC/cash out refi soon but my question is, should I refi in my name and get umbrella insurance for my properties going forward instead of via LLC to protect myself?

My wife and I plan to move back to Virginia in the next few years, so I'm looking at my time here as a chance to learn in a bigger market.
