My view is both those owners got lucky but maybe they accurately predicted a lack of near term appreciation. 

I'm in an area with lots of competition and most places seem to get an offer before I can even view them.

To me, this question has many details for my answer. 

The bank views a year lease as less risk for them and a form of stability which as investors we know doesn’t equate to security in the real world .

I've heard about a LOC a few different times that gives you 5x your liquid cash and/or assets.For example if someone had $100k in their savings account they would have $500k purchase power.Does anyone know anything about this loan program or have more details on it?
