I’m considering Buying and moving into a house with a detached garage and converting it into an ADU (house hack).

You'd have to snag someone selling super undervalue or.. you could buy a 3 bed that has a garage that you could convert.

It may be worth it for you to include homes with accessory dwellings... in-law suites or garage apartments.

I also added storage units, additional parking, garage spaces and a laundry facility.

If I were to do a househack, I would considering Airbnb-ing or something more creative like adding a wall to split the units or adding an ADU/converting garage to a unit as that will most likely allow it to more easily cash flow.These are just some of the tips that I have heard and am happy to share.

I live in a small garage apartment for 4 years while renting out the main house. 

If you have a garage or place to store so it doesn’t affect the schedule of work, even better. 

I also found items I left in the property for the property being sold by tenant on a facebook garage sale.
