Are you looking into a single family home or multi-family and what areas?

If you are going to be buying big multi-family properties that are far from you like Texas, then that will work too. 

I see myself wanting to do multi family, but I want to start of single family, and get some cash flow.

I’ve been doing a lot of reading and research about how to get your first multi unit property, and I’ve been hearing different strategies as to acquiring your first deal.

I've heard time and time again that value add multi-families are one of the best vehicles to build wealth.

My guess is that you're rehabbing a small multi-unit property which will be rented.If my guess is correct - you do not need to pay yourself salary.

Since reasonably priced triplexes or greater seem to be getting hard to come by in the greater Bangor area, I've expanded my search south a ways and found there to be a bunch of multi's coming on the market in the Augusta area priced pretty reasonably. 

I am looking to expand my investment portfolio with multi-family rental properties in the Charlotte area.Any contacts/recommendations of agents in the area from other investors and property managers would be much appreciated.  

We are looking to make our first purchase we are just curious as to what advice y’all would have on buying a single family or multi family property to begin with.
