I'd like to rent it as much as possible and leave a few weeks during the year to stay there with family. 

We lived in it as a single family residence and over the years of things that looked like they had been renovated started failing… we realized the owner before seemed to have a slap it together cheaply himself mentality.

So, like Chris said, there is no way that Airbnb does NOT impact the market, but it's impact, in my eyes, is grossly overstated, at a high level.

My Guess is these are likely small enough items/repairs that probably weren't looked at too deeply or considered during the due diligence and inspection, which I would totally understand.

Many investors really like this type of account due to the many advantages it can provide.

It often feels like either selling high and buying high, or selling low and buying low.

I am a local homebuyer in New Jersey but is also interested to buy properties outside like New York.
