If you can join a private athletic or country club those are good places to meet real estate people

If you do it anyway, then you must accept that you will probably realize a loss because those people will not respect the time, money or effort you put into a rental property and will just think you're a greedy bastard. 

I can introduce you to a few people. 

You can find BRRRR potentials on the market, but the problem is so will 300 other people and someone will end up buying it at a price that won't make any money.
