I live on the north shore of Boston and don’t quite have enough money saved up for an FHA loan but I’m getting there.

@Ken Latchers...This is my first year in the STR game, so nothing to base it on, but I had March and April fully booked and I've had two 7 day cancellations in the last 2 days...One was a military member that was returning from deployment and the DoD has restricted all travel outside of a 50 mile radius from their bases.

If the house really is turnkey than I might be looking at a good deal no matter the cost of repairs but if it’s north of 40k I might be looking at a dupe.

That said, Over the past 18 months, I sold three different plots of mountain land in Western North Carolina by just posting a couple of ads on Craigslist.  

My other 2 primary investment choices have taken a beating (I might as well say what they are because I have stated them in past posts: Mineral rights in North Dakota (basically gas) and stocks).
