We've bought from a local custom builder, and also from a contractor's supply store that sells mid-high end cabinets and we honestly had the least amount of trouble with the installation and the product quality was every bit as good from Home Depot, which surprised me.

To give you an idea of the area, it's a mid $30's purchase price and combined rents are $552.My plan was to leave well enough alone and just collect rents for a year or so. 

Our cheapest homes (that are livable) will at least be in the mid-$200k range, and most at that price range are very sketchy or extremely far out.
