they might affect your home especially if it is already adjacent to a denser zoned area.If the home has a verifiable history of use as a duplex it may be grandfathered legal.

When you start messing with the actual language of the lease, you run the risk of putting something in there that isn't legal or at least hasn't been vetted by the attorney that originally drafted it.

You definitely should add an attorney to your team and speak with him/her about that in more detail from a legal aspect.From a tax standpoint, an LLC doesn't really do anything for you - your share of income/losses is passed through to you and reported on your individual tax return.If you have any other tax questions, happy to help.
