Originally, plumbers told me there would have to open the walls to see where the water leak was, and it would have cost a fortune to hire handyman or contractors to then patch the holes.

I gave a fortunes worth away when I was a kid and now I will buy it all back at 100's of times the cost or die of lack of peace of mind.

I’m very fortunate to be in the same boat as @Jameson Schwab and bought my primary residence in Truckee a year ago with the opportunity to turn a previously converted garage into an ADU.

We all come from different walks of life and I'm incredibly fortunate/grateful to have hard working parents that were able to get me to this position.
