Our liberal legislature made up of frustrated hippies still crestfallen that the 60's ended tend to write laws that favor tenants over landlords, but it does NOT take 3 to 6 months to evict a deadbeat if you do it properly.

If a person was in debt, not only are you saving them pretty much, but the end buyer is actually doing them a favor, if anything he doesn't even have to let them stay in the house, it's more of a courtesy more than anything if you ask me, doesn't make sense......

I wouldn't be surprised at all if you got rid of the mortgage interest deduction on second/vacation homes, but I would be very surprised if they got rid of the deduction for primary residences.That said, this is the reason why many investor recommend not factoring in the tax benefits of real estate into you financial analysis of a investment -- you never know when the tax rules are going to change, and generally speaking, it's not going to be in the investor's favor...

This is a good property if the numbers work so I am not ready to walk.I also wonder if this lack of cooperation on the seller's part might work in my favor in terms of renegotiating a much better deal near the end of the feasiblity period.Experienced input is greatly appreciated!!
