I lost my attempt to continue with the sale but when it did sell, still got my full balance and interest.I wouldn't bank on the foreclosure sale bidding above total debt to give excess proceeds to the estate.

@John Warren Thank you, I agree on the fact that I should focus on a good strategy to continue leveraging buy and hold deals.The main reason as to why I got my real estate license is because I was initially looking for exposure and incentives of being my own agent.

I know the cost of construction is a little excessive but if your property is already in the floodplain and FEMA changes their maps every 5-10 years, its likely within the course of your own the property will become more at risk for flooding - even if its just the 100-year flood.
