If you are going to buy real estate you a) need to know how to do comps, and  b) once selected you need to get out from behind your computer and go drive those comps and verify that they really are comparable.

Actually, I am quite serious about the scratch tickets, where you can compute an expected value pretty easily.And you misunderstand me on the past performance.
