Since the property was recently renovated and had a tenant already set I thought it was a great buy and paid the asking price.

I moved out early from my lease because I bought a house and I paid the lease break fee and was prepared to pay the 2 months notice I was suppose to give prior to moving out.

Maybe when I hit retirement age, I'll have different thoughts... but for the next 10 years or so I'll keep the extra $50,000 a year!

I also thought about buying more pricy homes in California and bet on the appreciation - but this doesn't seem like the most efficient way to use my liquidity.

I'm in eagle mountain and thought about furnishing our basement apartment for a MTR as well.I know A MTR manager that operates around 40 doors in the area, and he thinks we could get anywhere from 2200-2500 a month.
