In the Northeast there are lots of areas with year round interest - hiking and outdoors in the summer, skiing in the winter.

I am considering investing in a STR and also prefer Arrowhead over Big Bear because I feel it would do better year round as opposed to Big Bear that I see as being excellent in the Winter months but then potentially could fall off in the warmer seasons.

Note, in Texas outside the city limits you have to have a minimum 10 acres in order to discharge a weapon and hunt (Yes, we hunt year round here in Texas and own firearms).
