Is there anyone out there that knows specifically about values on Whidbey Island in Washington?

I'm curious if any investors have a high cash flowing property in a low appreciation area that they purchased +/- 30 years ago as well as a no/low cash flowing property that they purchased in a high appreciating market such as Coastal CA, Orange County, San Francisco, Coronado Island San Diego, Lower Manhattan, Miami beach, etc., that was purchased around the same time. 

Matt, there are a several condo hotels in Redington, Madeira Beach, Treasure Island and St Pete Beach.  

I work in Secaucus and have family in Long Island, so I'd like to get easy access to those places since I'll be living in one of the units.

Beautiful coastline, barrier reef, world-class fishing and diving, Caribbean island vibe coupled with a jungle mountain interior filled with caves, rivers, Mayan ruins, quant villages, rolling hillsides dotted with ranches/farms and sparsely populated countryside.

Wondering what range of cap rates you guys have been seeing in the Staten Island market as of lately.

They squeezed in a 3x5 island but no pantry & that's in upstate NY.

Who has 2nd homes (required to stay in 2 wks/year by lender & can rent out the rest) on beach- needs to be southeast side of US- Marco Island FL, Virgin Islands, as examples?

I've heard from locals that Treasure Island, Emerald beach are good places to look.
