I know he will help me meet the right people to guide me forward. 

Loads of information for you to listen to.Also checkout the free how to guides and learn the basics.  90% of the questions I see posted can be answered by reading the forums and listening to the podcasts. 

Before you even think about looking or buying any property you need to get real estate educated.There are great how to guides under the learn tab at the top. 

There are several great resources here on BP to help get you started- check out the learn tab on the top of your page and there is a "How to Guide" for wholesaling.

It would be a good guide for you if you go down this path.
