Same with Dallas and Houston  Portland though is just so competitive you talk about a place that is tough.. its not like bay area stuff does not get bid up by 100k but it goes in a matter of hours and you better have your money lined up these deals close in 3 to 7 business days if you want to be competitive. 

For instance, I am looking at a great property right now (which I am almost certain I will not get because of competition) and even my lender said how did you get this property in NYC at that price.

The median home price has skyrocketed almost everywhere along the front range and the competition is very strong.

One way to be competitive in the lending world is to be decisive and move very quickly.Retirement rules and requirements are generally simple if you stick to the basics.

I am in the Austin area and looking for different areas with less competition.  

The market is too cut-throat, and it's almost impossible to stay afloat, and be competitive, when you're doing it legally. 

(One of the applicants I accepted confirmed that there was a lot of competition for good rental houses and said she'd actually been looking/applying for several months.)  

It was fun and there is competition out there.

I'm actually 9 weeks out of a bodybuilding competition.

A little more research on what the competition is doing in their luxury apartments, but based on everything here, they are probably using 1" blinds.
