Tricky part to that is that you have to cut in with a brush and roll at the same time otherwise the edges will be really noticeable, so you kind of need 2 people working together, and you have to roll almost to the very edge of where you cut in, but you don't need any special skills other than knowing how to roll a paint roller on the wall.

There are a lot of different ways to invest and you should find a way that suits you and your skill set.
