Hi all,While I'm a newbie to BP and pursuing my own investments, please allow me to comment on Section 8 and related programs as someone who's day job involves housing veterans in the VA version of Section 8, HUDVASH, and formerly was to house homeless folks at a local shelter who had just received Section 8 vouchers. 

In some situations, I can understand why the landlord would chance it than follow the exact letter of the law.Of course, if my best advice isn't followed I do recommend that the landlord take detailed photographs / videos of any property that was left behind.

(I have the photographs of the signs posted on the property for the upcoming sales and I have the Patriot News paper copy that shows they posted the Upset sale in the paper)Q?

Our S8 tenants are retired veterans on fixed income, retired seniors on fixed income, and people with qualified disabilities on fixed income.

I come across this all the time with VA guaranteed loans since I am a veteran and work with other veteran buyers using their VA Guarantee.

When tenants contact us, we ask them to call us when the offense is happening so we can pop over to photograph and witness it.  

And photograph the serial number plate for your records as further proof. 

Have someone do a walk through with you holding a ruler, etc. so you can photograph the size of damages, holes, flooring scars, etc.
