Ultimately a savvy investor needs to calculate all their specific holding costs including loan costs, interest, taxes, insurance, utilities, etc as well as the local market conditions like average days on market (DOM), location of specific property (does it sit close to or on a busy street, near a railroad, near commercial, is it rural, etc).If you like, do a search here on BP for the 70% rule, you will find all kinds of info and opinions on it.
