We bought our first house in Virginia Beach.

That means I don't need to have a storm hit me right I am at, it could be a storm that hit Daytona Beach and every Citizens policy holder will have to pay an assessment. 

They are drinking margaritas or kombucha on the beach of that sort.

@Nicole Pettis You've already got some great advice and encouragement here, so I'll just add a couple of things.The silver lining to these frustrations--and we all face them--is that is why there  an opportunity for those who get past them.  

Somewhere around 40 units I will be looking to hire somebody to oversee the day-to-day stuff for me and only call me on the beach if there's an emergency :)

My initial intention was to just keep saving them, now I'm considering buying silver or gold bullion.

When we redid our house in the Redmill area of Virginia Beach we over renovated it with a duel head bathroom shower, and many other features because we thought it would be a personal longer than it ended up being.

Because I purchased this one I have been shown 2 more notes, one in Altamonte Springs and another in West Palm Beach, but I want to be sure I am evaluating the full extent of what I can and cannot do before pursuing more, especially one outside of my local area. 

I mainly deal with the Palm Beach, Broward, Dade counties and other markets as well.

If you drive down any of the main streets, like 76th st running N/S, Brown Deer Rd, Good Hope, Silver Spring Rds running E/W, you'll see a fair amount of blight in the commercial properties as well, but there are some better areas as well.
