I would suggest a modified work time like 9-6 so your subs are still there when you arrive in the afternoon, or require for them to wait 15 mins to go through the days work and the following days, we have a system like that, two week look ahead and current week's progress.

If you don't have a good knowledge of what things cost, you need to spend a good couple of afternoons at HD studying prices.
