While the principle is similar, the existing program (EB-5) is for commercial real estate only and is tied to job creation.This new legislation does not appear to have any job creation stipulations to it as it is geared to improving the residential real estate sales market.Personally, I think it's a great idea.

Ryan -- if the bank gives you credit for the net cash flow of the property (NOI minus P&I), which I assume is positive, then your DTI ratio should improve.

On LTV, I certainly understand where you're coming from, but I'm thinking of the scenario where we are looking for financing on seasoned, performing properties (let's say rehabbed, leased, and tenant paying for 90 days).
