Rather than a bursted damn flooding the market with inventory I foresee at best a small trickle of drops of inventory in slight upticks here and there, and headed towards something that resembles an equal balance between buyer & seller markets.

Usually you wouldn't have to "pay" them at close, the proceeds would get divvied up and you'd get you $20K proceeds (assuming 3 guys with equal shares.)Beyond that, you'd prob need some kind of agreement before close on how the funds are distributed.
