The way the bank wants you to think so they can reap the rewards. 

And those that go out of their way the most (working extra hours, taking on extra tasks, etc) get rewarded the most.I'll do anything from hand them extra cash to give them a Home Depot gift card to give them a gift certificate to a nice restaurant.

But you also need to be stupid enough to take the risk and reap the rewards. 

And I see the rewards are potentially much better for those of us who choose this route than for those who risk nothing other than simply following a path that most other people do.Millenials may be the first group as a generation to reject the pre-defined life/career trend of the past 100 years more than others, but there's still a long way to go. 

Local financing is onerous but for international investors appears opportunity exists, provided the risk/reward is a comfortable ratio for folks.Look forward to hearing the latest! 

They all "work" but, like @Ben G. and @Wendell De Guzman said, it's all a matter of risk vs reward.  

You're so young that even if we hit a big recession, you can see it through to reap the rewards of your investement.

These are a world of their own and can be quite rewarding. 

But then again, no risk no reward.

I'd almost bet money that if you went to your supervisor/city manager and presented your issue, which sounds to me like boredom and not enough work, they could easily find a multitude of projects for you to work on that would be rewarding and probably lead to advancement.
