The benefits of selling as a portfolio is that when you do a 1031 exchange, you won't have to coordinate the sales of multiple properties, And this would minimize the amount of individual exchange fees.

The first thing you need to realize is that this is a STR business, not an Airbnb business.

You can certainly raise money but I wouldn't recommend this for out of state investments as your post suggests.

Are any veterans already doing this that might suggest elsewhere ?
