It was a dream purchase for me and my wife, but after joining Bigger Pockets and all the great folks on here helped my move into the STR game.We ended up with a standard 2nd home mortgage that was almost immediately transferred so we just started listing it on VRBO and AirBNB.

Thanks in advance :) you can make direct investment in development deals through single purpose entities not funds. a lot of family offices don't invest in funds they invest in direct placed capital.

As mentioned earlier, only a few mortgage types can be truly assumed, mainly FHA and VA loans.Yes, if you only are making over the payments then the debt stays with the seller and transferring the title to you is more complicated.In the end, the starting point is making sure the numbers work.
