I find most seniors to be fascinating people once I take the time to know them, and sometimes I benefit from the bits of wisdom they share with me.

I'm working for a large regional home builder as a senior manager overseeing a group of construction managers for a region.One of the benefits of my job is that I can receive an up to 20% discount on a new home if I select standing inventory, or a 10% discount on a home I have built on land that I purchase.  

The issues: Not being a US Citizen (I do not live in Canada either, so pulling credit from a Canadian based bank I do not believe is an option.

Someone too busy might also consider a solid reit in senior facilities or other growing niche.

If that could be turned into money, please let me know, LOL, we could make a ton in the forums identifying them but it becomes the job of regulators, not citizens to profit from catching the bad apples.

With the current home insurance situation in Florida making everything very difficult the only company that was able to insure the property was Citizens which only provides a $100k liability coverage.

I have an agent out of Miami that gets great rates, usually with Citizens but depends on property (distance to water, etc). 

Our own house with FedNat and was in the $6000 range...we ended up with Citizens at $12,000.
