It's just a chance for local members to get to meet one another in person, and spark a positive business relationship. 

I do not know them personally so can't really say anything good or bad.

We are trying to attract more investors that are active and willing to share experience and knowledge, but it is a challenge.

You're already ahead of the game with your property management experience!

First step is to have 5 years+ of experience in buying, managing and selling commercial properties.

Definitely an interesting idea, but I think you have to either have some property management who has experience / knowledge with managing properties like this or some personal knowledge / experience running these types of properties.I also think there is good opportunities around college campuses like Kent State, Toledo, Baldwin Wallace and rent out per room to college students. 

I would love to hear from anyone with experience in these areas and any advice you may have for a newcomer. 

have you been to this neighborhood in person?

We have had good experiences working with him for commercial real estate loans. 

Just adding that in my experience, renting a property to a tenant sight-unseen is usually a bad idea, even when the unit is properly turned and professionally cleaned.
