As long as you're not an anti-social psychopath, whatever your answer to that question is, is probably an okay place to buy.From there, we can run some numbers, make sure we're not missing anything, but in the end most decisions are actually pretty simple. 

Find the right time to explore properties and get the underwriting in place and you'll be able to make a well educated decision.

But that is an aesthetics decision, not because it has been a problem. 

Not only because it supports my current decision to go forward with rental but because this is kind of my vision for starting out in Real Estate.

Compare prices....then make a decision. 

That said, one benefit for STR that I don't often see discussed is and I think should play in the decision is the tax benefits.

You can prepare yourself for that by having another inspection conducted 10 months in then bringing that to the builder to see if they can fix anything outstanding for you, before the warranty is up (if applicable).In summary, buying a new build means you have to arm yourself with information so that you know what you are getting into.
