Hi @Sheena Drake Branson is a great area for STR investments, and believe it or not, it flies under the radar with some really solid long-term rental opportunities as well. 

Moreover, while you can fly direct to Cancun from pretty much anywhere in the world, direct flights to Cozumel are very limited.

Can you fly into town and pick out or purchase everything and then just hire some movers to pick it up and place it?

I don't mind flying into Memphis for a couple of days and meeting people.

Am I wrong for calling and trying to learn on the fly? 

They were talking about the new laws, and I heard the judge make some comments that leads me to believe that all parties in this business (judges, lawyers, landlords, tenants, local government) are still kind of "flying blind" as there has not been any interpretation of these various provisions in a court yet (case law, I believe it is called), and - not surprisingly - the way these new statutes were written will generate a lot of unintended consequences as well as questions that really no one has answers to.  

I am located in Yuma AZ, and in those areas that I mentioned in Texas I like that they are cities so easily accessible for people to fly in especially for the businesses I want to do on the property its important to me for it to be easily accessible, I like the weather in those areas, there is a lot to do around those areas it seems.

I get why you'd think it, but it's exactly the same as thinking if you could flap your arms up and down fast enough, you'll fly.
