Window screens should be present and operational, and should be free of any rips, tears and / or damage to the mesh portion of the screen.Heating units: should be dusted and access uncluttered, in compliance with local fire code.Hallways: should be clean and free of hazards.Stairwells: should be clean and uncluttered.Laundry areas: should be clean and neat.

So I learned a lesson about the VA, and about real estate, for the price of a credit ding and no longer having a 0% down benefit for having worn a uniform.

Update: Just got a notice from the city that we (the owners) need to remove the trash by a certain date, because it's a public safety violation.
