I first want to learn the business and seek possible mentorship before tackling the market. 

I’m currently writing a business plan to start a property management company.

My thought being I could originate for them and then the other clients I meet outside of that office I could refer to them already pre-approved to one help them out with their business and give them solid clients while still getting a referral commission.

I'm starting to build a business to grow my rental properties and would like to get some advise on what's the right asset protection strategy for me as a starter.I live in CA and currently have 3 rental properties in CA, 2 are long term and 1 is short term.

These are difficult to make good cash flow with any business model.

You'll be living in one of the units and collecting rent from the other three, so it would be a great way to learn the business, get some cash coming in and cover your expenses. 

As far a business ideas go - I have always liked providing a service as opposed to a product, so I think this fits that window. 

I (medical doctor) am not currently practicing, instead choosing to start a business while doing some consulting work on the side.

I get a lot of questions on this deal: how did we find it, how did I negotiate it off market, what's the business plan, etc so I did a full YouTube video on it.

My business partner bought me out as I have other ventures that I need to prioritize.
