I had a great conversation with an experienced borrower from the UK yesterday, a very colorful character from London.

I passed the school and all the pre-requisites with flying colors.

I came across something worth sharing - using a Johnson Box to get your quick message across to the recipients of your direct mail campaign (letters, postcads...etc)A Johnson Box is a box usually at top that contains the key message you're getting across - it could be a "We buy houses, Call us" or "Call me to get added to our buyers list"...etcThe key concept is that messages stick out and grab the readers' attention when placed in a box, a bigger font, a different color.

It made me a little crazy to deal with "buyers" who could not see that a different color carpet would be easy to arrange or that the lights in the kitchen could be easily altered.

And I don't mean just changing out a piece of trim or some siding - I'm referencing if they want custom paint colors or a say on the countertops, etc.

So, toss your rose-colored eye glasses, buy this book and read it twice.
