It's also a charming bit of "old Florida" style (for the most part).

She did a BRRRR style house hack last year that was CRAZY successful in the area you are looking at.

The house is a "special" case with two huge out buildings one being a massive modernized gambrel style dairy barn and the other is a custom build shop/rv garage and many inspectors to not give a fair value to out buildings so it may not appraise at the agreed upon price.

This is not a style that you find in homes in our market so I don't want to keep it, but it seems like a pain to tear out and replace.

There are lots of markets out there, so you'll want to put some thought into what your preferred investing style will be.

Mortgage lenders are more careful these days so I'm not seeing evidence of an implosion of that style. 

Switch to the old forums style.
