The California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation took possession of SVB and appointed the FDIC as receiver, citing inadequate liquidity and insolvency.The other thing that was unique to them, and I haven't seen a good summary of it, was that they offered unique lending and/or platforms to IPO's which is why they sucked in all of those investments. 

Some additional FREE educational resources I can suggest are: 1) Crowd funding platforms that focus on CRE investing -e.g.

(I don't DM on this platform.)

This platform has numerous resources to offer so I definitely recommend taking advantage of it all. 

Most of these metrics can be sourced online from business journal platforms. 

You can use simple online platforms for the smaller properties and outsource maintenance and there are also third party management companies for larger properties and more turnkey solutions.

No surprises for anyone.The nice thing about using one of these two platforms is you can use them to advertise the property too.
