Those who think they can go it alone or under some scamming guru, well, they are probably the same ones who would represent themselves in their own murder trial, the audacity on this site is unbelievable.Beware of the gurus, they will be coming out of the woodwork with schemes and deceiving information, in fact some already have.You're right, thanks to open forums, information here is a real mess. :)

@Paul Zhang if you allow it specify they must put the curtain rods in the wall and may not put them in the woodwork!     

It has great historic woodwork, beautiful spaces, etc. but needs some work. 

Honestly, the house is one of a kind with all the custom wood work and a TON of room throughout the whole house, ot including the living space!!

I think furniture is a good analogy: If I wanted a beautiful dining room set, made out of hardwood, stained specifically to match woodwork in my home, with a lot of hand-finished touches and intricate detail work, I have two options: 1.

The cabnet doors match the backsplash, match the wood beneth the window--all very matchy-matchy.It is an "odd" looking choice, and to me speaks of High School woodworking class.
