Pet urine is a horrible thing.

Cats are solitary and mark their territory with scented urine that can destroy a property and cause the smell to be completely unbearable and cost thousands to remove. 

But of course we don't like the idea of pet urine and roaming dogs.If we advertised "pet considered" do we have to watch how we discriminate against certain animals?

It smelled horrible in there and when we took up the carpeting, it was wet and heavy with dog urine!

The house smells like dog urine because apparently this last week she decided to just let the dog pee in the house, mainly in the front bedroom and laundry room.

Also I've been told that you can be classified as a sex offender here for "crimes" like public urination.

In some rooms, we actually had to rip out drywall and subfloor because the urine had soaked through the subfloor and into the joists.

Has anyone had experience (positive or negative) mitigating cigarette and/or cat urine smells from a home.

When I contacted the realtor, he was straight up with me, and told me that the house had a very strong cat urine smell... so bad that the last people he showed it to took one sniff and immediately walked out.

All hard wood floors, pretty scratched up and a bad smell of what we think is cat or dog urine.
