The assignment of the mortgage from the previous lender to myself has been recorded with the county, so I'm not sure if that's enough for the chain of title to point to myself as the legal owner of the property.TIA,-RobIt makes me suspicious that the seller did not record their DIL and sold the loan to you along with an AOM.

If the owner agrees, then call back in 2 or 3 days and say you've secured the 7K and let's do the deal.If there's more suspicious hiccups or another price hike, I would walk away.

That price and that price-to-rent ratio seems suspicious for any property these days, much less one in turnkey condition, and much less for one in Savannah which has never really been a market known to cash flow.
