I have moved twice in the last 3 yrs bc we had to get out of CA (costs of living, quality of schools, and community needs were all serious issues in NorCal) and how I did my research is to do some "soul searching" and come up with a list of 3-4 non-negotiables like "must have excellent public schools/affordable enough to pay for private schools" and or "must be within x distance to work" and or "must have a strong community of x kind of ppl."

The past few years have been good to me financially (I made the switch agency nursing recently) and I've been saving money like a squirrel saves nuts.My girlfriend and I have been living in an upscale apartment complex for several years now and writing empty $1100 checks monthly really started gnawing at my soul.

Other than those who posted on this thread, I don't know a soul or really anything about Indianapolis, where I'm going to stay or how to accomplish what I'm setting out to do.

I am searching for patient souls on this forum willing to allow me to pick their minds about investing in RE from scratch. 

If it sold for $14grand and its on the market for $1,000,000 then that sounds like a tax lien sale that some blessed soul found and won a gem on for a mere fraction of the value.

My niece is about to turn 20, her parents got married, are super soul mates, and had 2 more natural children and 2 adopted.   

Some brave souls might wing it solo, but let's be real - just like any other gig, having a seasoned pro show you the ropes is a total game-changer.So here's the deal.

Their are a lot of risk in flips, but it's been profitable for me so far and hopefully will continuing being moving forward.My 2 cents, start by doing research and soul searching at the same time.
